Join us at the Kyrene School District Office, to laugh, learn and discover life-changing techniques that make working with the children in your life a joy.  Love and Logic has been supporting educators and parents with our research-driven solutions for over 30 years.

How Will This Benefit Me?

  • Avoid power struggles that undermine adult authority
  • Treat the source of behavior problems, not just the symptoms
  • Understand the influence of interaction dynamics on the student behavior
  • Develop interventions to alleviate a wide spectrum of student performance issues

"Love and Logic" is process of interacting with kids in a way that develops responsiblity, trust and internalized controls.  Adults set reasonable limits and expectations and when those limits are violated, kids are allowed to experience "real world" consequences (balanced with empathy), thus gaining wisdom from their mistakes. The result is the development of a healthy self-concept as kids learn that their decisions affect what happens to them.

"Love and Logic" is not a permissive approach.  "Love" refers to the amount of care and respect required to give kids enough control to make deicision and then to live with the consequences of those decisions.  "Logic" refers to the reasoning process that goes on in the kid's mind as a result.
